Games Night
Teamwork wasn’t just for projects as we returned to the office this year, we had a fun games night after work filled with friendly competition and laughter! We had a blast diving into a competitive game of Uno, which unleashed some inner strategists (and maybe some sore losers) and One Night Ultimate Werewolf, where with every accusation made, we put our teamwork and deduction skills to the test to uncover the sneaky werewolf among us! Of course, no game night is complete without some refreshments, so we kicked back with a couple of cold ones and enjoyed some well-deserved downtime together. Here’s to many more game nights and memories ahead! We didn’t manage to get many pictures as we were all having too much fun, but we did get one of Ian eating a crumpet while playing connect 4. It was a refreshing start to the year, reminding us that while we’re serious about saving costs for our clients, we also know how to have a blast as a team.
Gutterball Alley
Gutterball Alley became our arena of excitement as we traded our office attire for bowling shoes and took to the lanes for a memorable team outing. With each strike and spare, cheers erupted, and high-fives were exchanged, fuelling the competitive spirit among us. Whether we were seasoned bowlers or beginners finding our groove, the atmosphere was electric with enthusiasm and friendly rivalry. As the evening progressed, we found ourselves not just knocking down pins but also breaking down barriers, strengthening the bonds that unite us as a team. A special shoutout to everyone who brought their A-game to the lanes (and Matthew who even wore his bowling shirt)! Here’s to celebrating our successes, both in the office and on the bowling alley!
Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Egg Hunt at Reduce My Costs has become an annual event to look forward to each year (yes, we all get excited!). Our office transformed into a playground of anticipation as teams of three embarked on a thrilling Easter egg hunt, thanks to the ingenious planning of our HR guru, Sarah. With clues strategically scattered throughout the office, each more cryptic than the last, the hunt was on! Colleagues dashed from corner to corner, deciphering clues, and unravelling riddles in a race against time. As the final clue was cracked, jubilation erupted for the victorious team, each member rewarded with a delicious Easter egg as a sweet token of their triumph. The annual Easter egg hunt isn’t just about finding chocolate treasures; it’s about fostering teamwork, sharpening our problem-solving skills, and creating cherished memories that will last far beyond the Easter season.
Emily’s Farewell
As the workday ended, we gathered at our local spot to bid farewell to Emily, a valued member of our team. Amidst the clinking of glasses and casual chatter, there was a bittersweet air as we reminisced about the moments we shared, and the contributions Emily made to our team. It was a relaxed and genuine gathering, filled with laughter and well-wishes for Emily’s future endeavours. While we’ll miss her presence, we know she’s onto exciting new adventures, and we’re grateful for the time we had together. Here’s to Emily and the next chapter in her journey!
Brewdog Quiz
When we ventured to Brewdog in Newcastle for a pub quiz night, the friendly rivalry among us reached new heights as we split into two teams, each determined to claim victory (without the slightest hint of cheating!). We were filled with excitement as we pitted our wits against each other, tackling an array of brain-teasing questions spanning from pop culture to riddles. With every correct answer, our competitive spirit soared, fuelled by the thrill of the challenge and the promise of bragging rights… We laughed off our occasional missteps and celebrated each hard-earned point. Win or lose, the night at Brewdog was a testament to our teamwork, quick thinking, and unwavering dedication to fun-filled camaraderie outside the office walls.
Meal at Lal Qila
Gathering at Lal Qila, an Indian restaurant, was a delicious experience for our team. The aromatic spices and flavourful dishes delighted our senses as we enjoyed classics like biryanis, butter chicken, and samosas. The cosy ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for conversation and bonding, as we shared in the pleasure of good food and camaraderie. Dining at Lal Qila was a memorable culinary journey that left us left us craving more and solidified our appreciation for good food and great company.
