As we wrap up 2024, it’s a perfect time to look back at everything we’ve enjoyed as a team. From fun outings to supporting important causes, it’s been a fantastic year filled with memorable moments. Here’s a recap of what we got up to!
Games and Gutterball to Begin 2024
In January, we settled back into the office after our Christmas break, reconnecting and setting our goals for the year ahead. To keep the momentum going, we enjoyed a games night that was full of friendly competition and laughter. It was a great way to start the year!
In February, we took to the lanes at Gutterball, our local bowling alley, for an evening of strikes and spares. There were a few friendly rivalries, and some sore losers!
Easter Egg Hunt and Trivia
March brought some Easter spirit with an egg hunt in the office. Everyone had a blast hunting for treats and enjoying a bit of light-hearted fun to mark the start of spring.
In April, we put our knowledge to the test at Brewdog’s quiz night! We split into teams and were faced with questions spanning pop culture, history, and everything in between. The competitive spirit was high, and everyone enjoyed the lively atmosphere.
New Team Members and Celebrations
May marked a time of growth as we welcomed Alysha and Callie to the team! We were thrilled to expand and excited to welcome their skills and talent to our team.
Later in the month, we celebrated with a delicious Indian meal at Lal Qila. The evening was full of great food and lively conversation – a warm welcome for our new teammates and a wonderful time for everyone to connect outside of the office.
Nostalgia and New Experiences
July took us to NQ64 arcade for a retro-themed staff night! The team had a fantastic time playing classic arcade games and enjoying a night of nostalgia. It was a well-deserved break and a great way to kick off the summer.
We also had the exciting opportunity to attend Smokey Trotter’s launch event at Golf Fang Newcastle, where we tried out their new menu and played some mini golf! The food was incredible, and the evening was packed with fun – a fantastic invitation that let us experience something new as a team.
Durham Day Out and Macmillan Support
September was a busy month! We enjoyed a day out in Durham, exploring the historic city, having some cocktails and nibbles, and taking some time to unwind together.
Later in the month, we hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning, where team members baked treats to raise money for cancer support – it was a meaningful way to give back.
Wellbeing and Awareness
October focused on wellbeing and community. We organised a Mental Health and Wellbeing Week, giving the team a chance to engage in wellness activities, taking some much-needed time away from our desks!
Later in the month, we participated in Wear It Pink to raise money for breast cancer awareness, coming together as a team to support an important cause close to our hearts.
Festive Fun at the Purple Peacock
We wrapped up the year’s celebrations with our Christmas party at the Purple Peacock! The night was filled with delicious food, drinks and lively entertainment, including a performance of The Grinch Who Stole the Peacock. It was a fab way to enjoy some festive fun together as a team and relax before the Christmas break!
Reflecting on this year’s highlights reminds us of the importance of team spirit, fun, and supporting causes that matter to us. As we look forward to 2025, we’re excited to carry on this energy, building on all the memories and achievements we’ve made together in 2024!
